How to use this worksheet

  1. Choose shape outlines or lines and curves. Show the starting dot.
  2. Trace one example with a finger, then demonstrate with a pencil.
  3. Follow the guide slowly. For shapes, use the arrow to see the direction; for paths, move from the left dot to the right.

Choose your practice

Shape practice starts with circles and squares, then adds four or six different shapes. Path practice offers straight lines, gentle curves or larger curves.

A few careful traces are enough for one short session; the whole page does not have to be finished.

Changing the practice level creates a fresh version. For another sheet at the same level, use the New practice sheet button. Save the settings link or add the sheet to a pack to keep that version. Tracing keeps the same correct forms and varies their arrangement or path lengths.

Age guidance is approximate. Print on A4 or US Letter paper.
